FEATURE PROJECT

Dual level Extension

For this project the client approached The Garden Room Construction after a positive referal from their architect. The reason for wanting this extension was to make better use of the land and to provide the customer with a larger master bedroom and a lounge areas to the lower ground floor level.

Overview

As is often the case it is not always possible for the home owner to find accommodation throughout the build project, as the client was to remain in the property we took the approach of building the extension and getting the windows in and the roof on to ensure we maintained a stable home environment for the client and to ensure minimum disruption.

THE MISSION

The Garden Room Construction had to ensure the build was undertaken with minimum disruption, once the exterior was complete our team opened up the interior walls to join the two buildings. We made some additional alterations in the existing buildings configuration to create a bigger dining room and kitchen. Planning was key to the success of the project, at any one time up to four different trades were working alongside on another to bring the project together. Once plastered the whole project came together and final fixings were then added to complete the job. The building is now not only more spacious but looks a lot more pleasing from the external view with added kerb appeal if it were to ever be put on the market.
